Busoshoku Haki

Busoshoku Haki allows the user to create a force similar to an invisible armor around themselves.  Similar to Tekkai, this allows the user to defend against attacks that would otherwise cause them harm. Only significant physical force can overcome this defense.

During the Battle of Marineford, he was seen using his Busoshoku Haki to negate Whitebeard's attempt to destroy the execution platform, by creating, with his fellow admirals, a shield combination of their three Haki.

Haoshoku Haki is a rare form of Haki that cannot be attained through training and only one in a million people carry it.

Shanks is capable of using Haoshoku Haki, an ability that only one in a million people can use. After saving Luffy from a Sea King, Shanks was able to frighten it off with a single angry glare using this ability.
Later, while boarding Whitebeard's ship for their meeting, a large amount of Whitebeard's crew (experienced men who have survived in the New World) lapsed into unconsciousness and the ship itself began to take damage from Shanks' mere presence. Whitebeard's men attributed this to his superior Haki.

Kenbunshoku Haki

Kenbunshoku Haki, also known as Mantra in Skypiea, is a form of Haki that allows the user to sense the presence of others, even if they are concealed from view or too far to see naturally. With enough skill, one can use this haki to predict an opponent's moves shortly before they make them, thereby making the attack that much easier to evade. This prediction appears to the user as an image or brief "premonition" of what the opponent will do in the user's mind's eye, and the damage the user will take if the attack actually "hits". It appears that the more killing intent the enemy has, the easier they are to predict. Although, more skilled users can predict future moves whether there are ambient murderous intents or not.

• Gomu Gomu no Mi (English versions: Gum-Gum Fruit): Gives the user a body made of rubber and immunity to electricity and also allows them to hit Electric Logia fruit users. Also gives near-immunity to blunt attacks and  weaponry, such as bullets and cannon balls.
• Bara Bara no Mi (English versions: Chop-Chop Fruit): Allows the user to split their body into separate parts. Also gives immunity to slashing attacks.
• Sube Sube no Mi (English versions: Slip-Slip Fruit/Smooth-Smooth Fruit): Makes user slippery. In Alvida's case, the fruit caused extreme weight-loss as it caused even her fat to slip off her body.
• Kilo Kilo no Mi (English versions: Kilo-Kilo Fruit): Allows the user to change their body weight, but without changing their body size. The only Devil Fruit so far to keep its original name in the Funimation dub.
• Bomu Bomu no Mi (English versions: Bomb-Bomb Fruit/Boom-Boom Fruit): Gives the user's body and secretions explosive properties and immunity to explosions.
• Hana Hana no Mi (English versions: Hana-Hana Fruit/Flower-Flower Fruit): Allows the user to generate body parts on any surfaces, including his/her own body.
• Doru Doru no Mi (English versions: Wax-Wax Fruit): Allows the user to create and manipulate wax. Easily mistaken as a Logia.

Types of Haki

Haki is separated into three categories, or "colors":
1)Kenbunshoku Haki, which grants users a sixth sense of the world around them and limited precognitive abilities.
2)Busoshoku Haki, which allows the user to use their spirit as armor to defend against attacks or to make their own attacks more potent.
3)Haoshoku Haki, a rare type of Haki only one in a million can use which grants the user the ability to overpower the will of others.
Most people who can use Haki tend to have a type they're better at and as a result focus on that type. However, a person can improve their abilities with all the types of Haki, it just requires more work.
